The electrotechnical systems in the church building have “grown” over the decades (largely undocumented). They do not always meet the technical requirements for use and safety in accordance with the current state of technology and regulations. Many system components and cable networks are significantly older than their purely technical and economic service lifes. They cannot be retrofitted either, as there are no longer any components that are appropriate to the stock.
There is an urgent need for action with regard to the electrical systems and their installations. It is not enough to replace individual devices or lines – the entire power supply must be replaced.
